Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using RISR (“the App”), RISR Link (“the Companion App”), or the risr.app website (“the Website”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use our products.
License
RISR grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App and Companion App for your personal or professional music production. This license is subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions for the iOS app.
Permitted Use
You may use RISR to:
- Generate and send MIDI data to your DAW or instruments
- Create, save, and export musical projects and configurations
- Connect to RISR Link on your Mac or PC over your local network or USB
- Use the Apple Watch companion for motion control
Restrictions
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or Companion App
- Redistribute, sublicense, or make the App available to third parties
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
Purchases
RISR is available as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store. All purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's refund policies. We do not process payments directly.
RISR Link (the desktop companion app) is provided free of charge.
Your Content
All projects, presets, recordings, and configurations you create with RISR belong to you. We do not claim any ownership or rights over your content. Your content is stored locally on your device and is not accessible to us.
Updates
We may release updates to the App and Companion App from time to time. iOS app updates are delivered through the App Store. RISR Link for Mac may check for updates automatically via our website. Updates may include bug fixes, new features, or security patches.
Disclaimer of Warranties
RISR is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all hardware configurations, DAWs, or MIDI devices.
RISR relies on your device's motion sensors and audio hardware. Performance may vary based on your device model, operating system version, and connected equipment.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RISR and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damage to equipment.
Termination
You may stop using RISR at any time by deleting the App and Companion App from your devices. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our services at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users or our interests.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of RISR after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of RISR shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
